How this job board works
DoctorClub is a verification-only network for licensed doctors in India, and this page is the public view of the roles posted inside it. A listing appears here only after a moderator has approved it, and it is removed when it expires or is filled. Recruiters and staffing agencies cannot create accounts, so a role is posted by a verified doctor or by the hospital that will actually employ the person hired. No listing can buy a higher position, because there is no paid placement.
The trade-off is honest: fewer listings than an open job board, and periods where there are none at all. DoctorClub is pre-launch, and listing volume is still building. We would rather show an empty page than pad it with expired roles or republished postings scraped from elsewhere.
What to check before you accept a medical job in India
The clauses that decide what a clinical post is actually worth are rarely in the advertisement. Five worth resolving in writing before you sign:
- Is the fixed component a floor, or an advance? A “minimum guarantee” recovered against your revenue share behaves very differently from a genuine floor paid on top of it — see the six clauses in a consultant contract.
- What counts as your revenue? A share percentage means nothing until you know whether it applies to consultations only, and whether it is calculated gross or net of hospital deductions.
- Who carries your indemnity cover? Institutional cover for employed staff does not automatically extend to visiting consultants or locums — see what to check about indemnity insurance.
- Is the post in a state where you are registered? Registration is granted by state medical councils; moving states involves a transfer of licence to practise.
- Is there a bond or notice period, and what does leaving cost? For government posts this is the first thing to establish, not the last — see moving from government to private practice.
If you are comparing a locum rate against a salaried post, the pay difference is the easy part — locum versus full-time consulting covers what else changes. And if you are trying to work out whether an offer is reasonable at all, benchmarking a doctor’s salary in India explains why published averages cannot answer that and what to compare instead.
